I see families for a variety of concerns, primarily to reduce conflict, enhance communication, support sharing of emotions in different/new ways, and to navigate life stages together. I work with adolescents and parents, as well as work with adult children and their parents to improve their relationships. There is flexibility in who can participate in family therapy-- mother and daughter; both parents and children; multiple children and multiple parents; extended family, blended families, etc. are just come common examples of who enters the therapy room. All perspectives matter, and all are invited to share their voice, concerns, and hopes.
